Overview

Valikunja Peak lies about 30km north of the Kurinjal Peak in the Kudremukh National Park between the Agumbe and South Canara border of Kudremukh highway. Valikunja is also called as Ajjikunja. The trek covers a total distance of 18 km both ways. The trek begins with a climb into the dense forests and later uncovers beautiful grass lands. The last stretch ends with a 70 degree climb. One can witness the footprint of King Vali at the peak.
