The Introductory Scuba Diving Experience at Netrani Island is a one day program designed for people wanting to try their first Scuba Diving experience at Netrani Island.

Swimming skill is desirable but NOT essential for this program, and anyone over the age of 10 can participate as long as they are not afraid of being in water. As long as your are reasonably fit, you can go diving. Before you sign up, please click here to download the medical statement. Please go through this form to quickly check that you have no medical conditions that would make it unsafe for you to go scuba diving. Print, fill out and sign the statement and bring it along with you when you come to Murudeshwar.

Your day starts with a short briefing explaining the principles of diving and your equipment, followed by a boat ride to the island ( about an hour and 20 mins). At the dive site, you will learn some basic skills and get comfortable with the dive gear in shallow water. Once your skills are done, you will go for your dive. The dive instructor is with you during the dive, holding on to your tank, so you are always under close, direct supervision of a dive professional. You are NEVER alone underwater.

The dives can be up to than 12 m deep, though usually between 6 -10 m. The dive time is 30-40 mins, it could be more or less depending on how you breathe and your comfort level. We start at 7:30 am and finish by around 4:30 pm.
