Itinerary

DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN LEH

After reaching Leh airport you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to the hotel. Freshen up & head out to visit Shanti Stupa and Leh Palace. Overnight stay in Leh. (D)


DAY 2: LEH - EXCURSION TO MONASTERIES

After Breakfast, we proceed for the Indus Valley Monastery Tour including Shey Palace - The ancient capital of Ladakh. Thiksey is an impressive complex rising tier upon tier on a hill above the village. Hemis Gompa is one of the beautiful Himalayan monasteries in Ladakh. Overnight stay in Leh. (B, D)


DAY 3: LEH TO NUBRA VALLEY

After breakfast, check out from hotel & drive to Nubra Valley (Known as the Valley of Flowers and the warmest region in Ladakh) via Khardungla pass. This road is considered to be the highest motorable road of the world. En route, admire the spectacular views of the never-ending snow-capped mountain ranges around Khardungla Pass (18,380 feet) After spending some time at Khardungla, proceed to Nubra. Check into a resort or camp. Dinner and overnight Stay at Nubra Valley. (B, D)


DAY 4: NUBRA VALLEY TO PANGONG LAKE

After an early breakfast, proceed to Pangong via Shayok. Pangong Lake is a saltwater body of 120 km in length and 6 – 7 Km broad at the longest point. It is bisected by the international border between India & China (2/3 of the lake is in China’s possession). One really feels very close to nature at Pangong Lake with its scenic surroundings. On a clear sunny day, you can see seven color formations in the crystal clear saltwater lake. Dinner and overnight stay at Pangong Lake. (B, D)


DAY 5: PANGONG LAKE TO LEH

After breakfast, travel back to Leh. En route, take a short halt at Changla Pass to enjoy a cup of hot steaming tea. Overnight stay in Leh. (B, D)


DAY 6: DEPARTURE FROM LEH

After Breakfast, check out from Hotel & you will be transferred to Leh airport to board the flight back to your destination. The journey ends with Sweet Memories of Ladakh.

  • The person booking tour early is likely to get the lowest price as communicated/offered by the Company, subject to availability of seats.
  • The vehicle used for transfers is not at disposal.
  • Please consult driver / local representative for next day’s sightseeing / transfers schedule
  • Health Tip: Due to sudden change in altitude, we advice people travelling to Ladakh region to take sufficient time in acclimatization. Avoid running / fast walking. This tour is not recommended for people suffering Heart Problems, Epilepsy and Asthma; please consult your doctor before booking on this tour. People should consult a Medical Expert before using medicines like Diamox for mountain sickness.
  • Health Tip: Drink plenty of water. Always carry water bottle with you while on sightseeing.
  • At Nubra Valley, a very basic accommodation in available.
  • Due to unforeseen situations (force majeure/ traffic jams / traffic halts/ diversions/ bandh/ curfew, Union strike, VVIP movement, etc.) the vehicle reporting may get delayed. We will request you to bear with us and as soon as vehicle arrives you will have to get in asap. 

  • Due to vehicle-parking difficulty, most of the areas are restricted to entry of vehicle & specific time is allotted for entries. Kindly follow the time strictly as given to you.

  • The vehicle used will not be at disposal and will be exclusively used as per the itinerary only (on point to point basis).  It will change sector wise.

  • In group packages, Oxygen cylinder will be provided in every alternate vehicle, while going to Khardungla Top, Nubra, Pangong & Tsomoriri only. Oxygen cylinder will be on additional chargeable basis.

  • In this area your vehicle & drivers will change for every transfer & sightseeing. These drivers come from remote places and are not educated in tourism etiquette and some of them do not know how to speak & behave. You are requested to be soft & gentle with your drivers. 

  • As the vehicles & drivers change always, we will request you to be very careful with personal belongings. Once left in the vehicle, there is almost nil or little chance of getting it back.

  • AC will not be available in vehicles in Hill regions

  • We do not recommend or suggest night travel owing to the risk factor. So if you have a transfer to another destination in second half, please maintain time of your morning sightseeing

  • If one destination/ sightseeing point is covered twice or additional destinations are included, additional charges will be applicable on per km / per hour basis.

  • Tour price is subject to change as per the occupancy on the tour. Early birds get the best deal.

  • The region does not have star category hotels.

  • Packages are based on base category rooms, irrespective of the Hotel category opted.

  • Room up-gradation payable at the hotel directly.

  • For large groups, all rooms in one hotel may not be available. So if two or more hotels are selected, identical facilities may not be available between rooms. We expect you to adjust to these conditions. We will however try our best to maintain similarity.

  • Please be reminded that all special requests like early check-in, smoking, nonsmoking, views, floors, king, twin, adjoining and/or interconnecting rooms are strictly subject to availability upon arrival and cannot be guaranteed prior. Any expenses arising out of this is to be borne by the customer.

  • All hotels do not have lift facility & the guest may have to climb stairs. Incase of guests having problems with blood pressure, breathing, knee & heart or if they cannot climb the higher floors, we request you to update this at the time of booking so that we may take appropriate action and try for rooms in the Ground floor. This is again subject to availability and DIFFERENCE IF ANY WILL HAVE TO BE SETTLED DIRECTLY BEFORE CHECK OUT. 

  • Most of the Hotels in this region do not have Tea/coffee maker/ mini fridge/ enhanced toiletry kit (with moisturizer, tooth paste, brush, shaving kit, lufa, bathroom sleepers, bath-robe) etc. 

  • Facilities like western toilet, television in room, geyser in bathrooms, intercoms may not be available in Eco camps and similar places. 

  • For meal plans, menu will be on a fixed plan/ buffet basis and not on A-la-Carte basis. MAP & AP Meal plans do not include Evening snacks & cold drinks / liquor, Soups or Deserts. For order on A-la-Carte basis, guests are requested to make direct payment for additional items.

  • For early morning check out breakfast may be limited to simple bread & butter / jam with tea/ coffee/ juice.

  • Consumption and serving of alcohol in hotels / rooms is subject to hotel’s rules and regulations. 

  • Kindly note that same category rooms or identical rooms may not be available as the structure is not designed accordingly. 

  • In most hotels Extra Person Sharing the Room, Child With Extra Bed, will be provided  MATTRESS / ROLLOVERS as per availability and not a Bed.

  • In hilly areas, scarcity of water & electricity is a natural phenomenon. To overcome the water crisis certain hotels have fixed schedules for supplying hot & cold water. We strongly regret the inconvenience and look forward to your cooperation.

  • In hills, most of the hotels are located in a way where the view might be of a building in the front, beside or behind it. 

  • Check-in time at Hotel will be 0900 Hrs & Check-out time will be 0800 Hrs. For early check in / late checkout / extending of stay, will be completely subjected to the availability as per the situation.

  • As imposed by the Government Valid photo ID for all members staying at the hotel is mandatory. 

  • MOST of the hotels do not have parking place & vehicle cannot be parked in front of the gates for longer period hence guests should wait at the reception 10 minute before the departure to avoid the inconveniences.

  • In case Pangong stay is not possible due to operational reasons or any other reason, additional night stay at Nubra Valley or Leh will be arranged and Full day excursion to Pangong shall be provided. No claims for refund shall be entertained.

  • In case the route from Nubra to Pangong is closed, customers will have to head back to Leh from an alternate route and Pangong excursions may have to be cancelled. No refunds shall be possible in such cases.

  • Accommodation in Pangong will be very basic. Camps used here are very basic in nature and lack the basic amenities like toiletries & spacious rooms. Since power supply here is limited for a few hours only, hot water supply is for a very limited time period in the morning. Moreover, it gets extremely cold in the night and winds are severely strong; therefore, we recommend carrying heavy woolen clothing to keep yourselves warm.

  • Pangong is a remote place which lacks basic medical facilities too like a hospital/ clinic/ medical shop. The nearest doctor available is approx. ~45kms. from the lake. We therefore recommend you to keep all your prescribed medicines handy with you.

  • People suffering from respiratory disorders like asthma, bronchitis, etc. should refrain from staying in Pangong owing to the extreme weather conditions. However, an excursion can be easily opted for.

  • Please note that all the meals provided during Nubra and Pangong visits will be vegetarian meals, irrespective of the meal preference provided.

  • Hot water is only provided for 2 hours during the morning and evening in Leh. In camps, hot water is only available for a limited time in the morning.

  • Room heaters if required can be provided on chargeable basis, subject to availability.

  • Connectivity (phone as well as internet) is poor and unreliable in Ladakh. Most hotels will not have a Wi-Fi connection.

  • The camp accommodations at Nubra & Pangong are very basic even though they are classified into various categories.

  • The Khardung La pass may remain close till first week of May. In that case the tourist will do excursion to Khardung La and stay at Leh in place of Nubra Valley.

  • Tour-programme is subject to change depending upon circumstances

  • PANGONG stay will be subject to operation of CAMPS. Alternatively, we will arrange day trip to Pangong and next day will be kept free for optional activities or shopping.
